Charlie Crosby has been a disaster response worker since 1999 and with Noah's Wish since it's beginning in 2001. She has 9 fires, 2 hurricanes and multiple floods disaster experience and when she isn't doing disaster work, she spends a great deal of time giving disaster preparedness presentations to different communities. Any free time is spent with her 4 dogs.

Kim brings an extensive amount of experience to the organization. Having participated in not only search and rescue operations at number of wildland fires in California, but she has also been very active in shelter management during recent disaster mobilizations.

 

She is the founder and president of "Leaps and Bounds Rabbit Rescue" in Roseville, California and is an respected expert on the care and handling of rabbits.

Becky Oliver

Becky has been involved with Noah’s Wish since 2003.  She brings 20 plus years experience as a veterinary technician to the organization.    She is currently pursuing a degree in Animal Science.   She lives in a rural mountain community in N. California with her wonderfully supportive husband, 3 dogs, 4 cats and 8 chickens.  In her spare time she’s usually out hiking in the National Forest with her “kids”.

Michele has been a coordinator with Noah’s Wish since it was established in 2002. She first trained in 1996 to respond to the needs of animals in disasters.  Since 1997, she has responded to many hurricanes, floods, fires and tornados.  A great deal of her experience is in search and rescue, as well as, community outreach.  Her twenty years of experience with horses has also been invaluable when responding to disasters.

 

Currently, Michele is a Flight Attendant with a major Airlines.  Her experience has taught her to deal with emergency situations, medical issues and solve problems at 35,000 feet.  She is presently seeking a career change by attending Colorado State University majoring in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources-Environmental Communications and minoring in Conservation Biology.  She hopes to continue her passion for animals, conservation and the environment through future opportunities in a new profession.

 

Michele lives in Colorado with her five cats and her very loving and supportive husband, Ted, who shares her passion for animals by volunteer for Noah’s Wish.  She is continuously grateful for the opportunity to work with Noah’s wish by nurturing her love for animals through helping the four legged victims of disasters.

Tammy Hann-Harlan

Tammy started doing disaster work in 2000. She Joined Noah's Wish in 2004. After raising 6 daughters and being a social worker in the domestic violence field for many years she needed a break.

 

She brings her Appalachian storytelling and background to the field of animals. The Intake process at disasters has become her specialty and paperwork drama is what she likes best!

 

She lives in the Hills of OHIO and has 19 pot belly pigs, 1 farm pig, 4 goats , 13 cats and 6 dogs . The animals and her husband constantly  teach her patience and and passion in  her life .

Amy Maher

Amy has served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Madison County, Illinois, since 1989.  She handles juvenile and felony cases, and is the Chief Prosecutor in the Animal Cruelty Division.  A 1988 graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School, she has served as an adjunct professor at the Southwestern Illinois College Police Academy and has done extensive training for law enforcement personnel.

Roger Smith

In addition to his responsibilities as a coordinator, he serves on the Board of Directors for Noah’s Wish.  Roger brings 24 years of public safety experience in EMS, fire service and law enforcement, and is currently Chief Investigator for the Madison County, Illinois Coroner’s Office.  He holds an Associates Degree in Administration of Justice with additional, advanced coursework and is board certified by the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators.   He is certified by the State of Illinois as a Law Enforcement Officer and Firefighter II with Instructor certifications in those areas.

Stacey Rago has been with Noah’s Wish since 2004.  With a varied background including everything from being a vet assistant to practicing commercial law, Stacey has spent the last 10 years working in the nonprofit world and has a degree in nonprofit management.  In addition to her two dogs (one of which is a Hurricane Katrina orphan), Stacey fosters Great Pyrenees and has raised puppies for Leader Dogs for the Blind.”

Alex Reynolds

Alex Reynolds has been with Noahs Wish for two years.  Alex spent two months in Slidell after Hurricane Katrina.  Alex is also a Cat Captain with Indy Feral, a TNR organization in Indianapolis for over five years.  She works every Wednesday and every other Sunday at Indy Feral helping spay/neuter anywhere from 40 - 70 cats each day. Alex has a full house with her four dogs and twelve rescued cats.

Paul brings with him a high level of expertise in managing the Noah's Wish fleet of vehicles. He is a Class A driver experienced in driving, and management in the specialized transportation of oversize equipment and loads in the northeast. Strong comprehension of all federal, state, and local regulations on operation credentials, equipment specifications, driver qualifications, record keeping in the towing and transportation industry. June Gravitte has been a Noah's Wish volunteer since 2005 and has responded to 3 hurricanes. June has supported Basset Hound rescues in the mid-Atlantic region for 18 years and is currently the transport coordinator for Basset Rescue of the Old Dominion (BROOD). She is actively involved in disaster awareness as it relates to animals and pet preparedness in Maryland through the Maryland (MD) State Animal Response Team (SART) and the Prince George's County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).  June lives in suburban Washington, DC with her understanding Significant Other, 3 Basset Hounds, and various foster hounds.

Dianne lives in Millbrook, New York with her six horses, four dogs, one cat, two potbelly pigs and 20 chickens. She became active with the organization in 2003 and has responded to both Hurricane Ivan and Katrina. Dianne began and is on the Board of Directors of a therapeutic riding program for people with disabilities called "Mile’s End Equine Assisted Learning Center". Her years of experience with horses and livestock makes her a valuable asset to the organization.

Majorie Thorpe

Owner of "Over-the-Hill" Farm in Brewster, NY since 1988.  Riding insturctor, first aide instructor, ski instructor, NW instructor.  Member of the National Ski Patrol,for 20 years, member of Noah's Wish since 2003, member Putnam county Ag and farmland protection Board, the Putnam Co. Soil and water Board and Farm Bureau.  Currently involved in establishing a county
PERT team.

 

Have helped mentor and instruct girls at local girl scout camp, while also helping them to get their pet care/equine badge.

 

Theresa is married, and at her farm she has one dog - Casey a Scottish Terrier, 2 cats - Tux and Dotty, 6 horses - Kate, Silver, Blaze, Matisse, Chief, Gunner, and a variety of chickens, ducks, turkeys and geese that happily roam free around the barn .

Thea Martin has been a Noah's Wish volunteer since 2002 and has responded to 7 fires, 1 flood and 2 hurricanes, as well as a personal disaster response in Peru (Earthquake/Tsunami).  Thea has been involved with animal welfare organizations for well over 10 years, volunteering at stationary rescue shelters, as well as being a docent at Shambala Big Cat Preserve for a year.  Thea enjoys spending her down time with her pride of rescue house cats.

John Lewis, Assistant Coordinator

John Lewis joined Noah's Wish in 2009, but brings to the organization over 12 years of experience in the Emergency Services field. He is a Certified Dog Obedience Instructor and Animal Behaviorist and is the leader of his own pack of two German Shepherd Dogs, one of which is a rescue from a local Animal Shelter.  John is CERT trained and holds numerous certifications from the California State Fire Marshal's office. John's first response with Noah's Wish was to the Morris Fire in 2009.

Donna as been with Noah's Wish since 2000 and is a veterinary technician working at an Animal Emegency Clinic.  She brings invaluable skills to organization with her knowledge of triage and emergency procedures.  Her experience includes 2 years at an animal control facility and has in depth knowledge of shelter operations. Donna lieves in St. Charles, MO with a supportive husband and 8 dogs, 7 of which are rescues.

Susan Haraway

Susan has been with Noah's Wish since it was founded in 2002 and has been involved with animal disaster work since 1999. She was the co-owner of a veterinary hospital for almost 4 years, where she was able to use her experience as an RN to help her true love - animals. She was able to develop the skills necessary to care for animals in the hospital's boarding facility, which has made her an invaluable asset in the shelter aspect of disasters.

 

Susan lives in the St. Louis area and works for the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation as a Donor Coordinator. She evaluates potential tissue donors, as well as, speaks with the bereaved family members to give them information about eye & tissue donation. She then coordinates the recovery of the tissue donations. Susan also works in the Emergency Room of an area hospital.

 

Susan is the mother of 5 canine children, one of whom is a Katrina survivor.

Michele has an extensive background in animal welfare programs, she has managed an effective, efficient and customer focused animal services program (shelter and field operations) with a large staff and has re-engineered many programs, protocols and procedures for staff, citizens and animals. Theresa has been involved with Noah’s Wish since 2002.  She has worked with animals since 1977 as a dog trainer and in the animal control and rescue field.  She has worked in Southern California as a shelter manager for two separate government agencies and now is the Director of St. Charles County Humane Services in Missouri which has a very progressive animal control and pet adoption program.

 

Theresa lives in St. Charles County with 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 birds.  Besides working with Noah’s Wish, she volunteers with MO Alliance for Animal Legislation, CERT,  and the City of OFallon.

Shelley Hamill

  • Location: South Carolina

Shelley is an associate professor at Winthrop University with a passion for teaching and a passion for animals. She has been involved in disaster work with animals for over 10 years. During Hurricane Katrina, she made two trips down to Slidell bringing some of her college students on the second trip to help with shelter work. “They needed to feel what can and does happen in these situations so they can be ambassadors to educate people on being prepared. You cannot get the full effect from television.” Shelley is a sought after speaker/presenter and is a member of the Noah’s Wish training team. She currently has 3 cats (2 of whom are rescued) and a 2 year old golden retriever along with a 6 year old yorkie. She is a community first aid instructor for both people and pets and holds a professional rescuer certification.

My name is Angela McLaren I was born in South Africa but currently reside in Fort St James British Columbia with my 2 dogs and 4 cats. I am the founder and the CEO of the Fort St James Humane Society. FSJHS provides medical assistance, shelter and rehabilitation to injured, abused and or abandoned animals until adoption, we provide humane animal control within the surrounding reservations by providing a free spay/ neutering and inoculation programs; in order to reduce the number of dogs, dog attacks, dog bites and deaths of First Nation residents and further to eliminate the shooting of dogs on the reservations.
 
I have a certificate as a Veterinary assistant and am in the process of completing the Animal Welfare Certificate Program through Thompson River University. I am also a volunteer Fire Fighter and Vice President of the Fire Department Association. I hope in the future to pursue a career as a Special Constable and continue fighting for the protection of animals.
